Able Maths DaY

Students, Charlotte, Chauncey, Thomas and Maddie, from years 5 and 6 enjoyed a fantastic day of Maths challenges at Hoath Primary School recently.  The day began with a pyramid challenge finding the biggest and smallest numbers that could be made with a particular formula (we found the biggest number)! After this we took part in some ‘Egyptian Equations’, once again our group triumphed and recorded the fastest completion time. An afternoon of place value and tangram challenges were enjoyed by all with some exceptional team work displayed. Lastly we set out to investigate the Monty Hall probability theory; we will never watch a game show in the same way again! All in all an outstanding day. Well done to those involved.
